LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) women workers on Friday staged a protest outside the party ch
airman secretariat in Lahore over the allo
tment of tick
ets for reserved seats for women.
The protesting workers accused party’s election cell member Aliya Hamza of making changes in the allo
tment of tick
ets for the reserved seats.
The female workers demanded that the allo
tment must be revisited and the decision be made on merit.
The PTI is facing a lot of criticism within the party circles since the announcement of tick
ets for the general elections 2018. The angry workers from Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkh
wa have been staging a sit-in at party leader Im
ran Khan’s Bani Gala residence.
