ISLAMABAD: The meeting of the Standing Committee on Government Assurances was held on Tuesday with Standing Committee on Government Assurances

The standing committee observed that the bureaucracy of the Wa
ter and Power Ministry needs to improve its efficiency. The committee was informed that despite the notice and three reminders; the brief by the ministry could not reach timely.
The committee ordered the ministry to submit its report about the outstanding dues of WAPDA against Sindh government and details of its settlement.
The committee also demanded details of load shedding m
anagement in the Sindh. The committee directed Wa
ter and Power secretary to attend the next meeting of the in person. The committee directed to call for repo
rts of assurances given different ministers in the House from time to time.
