PESHAWAR: Authorities in Pes
hawar have taken the decision to arrest over 500 parents for
their refusal to allow
their children to be administered polio drops.
According to reports, the decision was taken in an official meeting attended by th
e Peshawar assistant commissi
oner (AC) as well as officials from other relevant departments.
Pes
hawar AC Altaf Ahmad Sheikh said that the move was the last option that the civic administration had to c
ounter the people’s stance.
